Tingsi sa Bata
-dollshoes-
(cute man gud ang bata... ug para nako kung makakita ko ug bata na nag ngisi mawala dyud akong mga kasakit... *sniff* *sniff*)

Tingsi....

tingsi, makawala ug labad
tingsi, makawala ug kaguol
tingsi, makawala ug sakit
tingsi, makawala ug gubat

makawala sa tanang pag-antos
ang tingsi sa bata.....sa bata

ji, ang tingsi sa bata sama sa imong tingsi. hehe. bitaw, kining pagbalik-balik sa linya (sa bata...sa bata), nahatagan kini og bag-ong kahulogan isip "device" sa pamalak ni Robert Frost kaniadto sa iyang balak nga "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening". Ania ang last paragraph:

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."

Frost's repitition of the last line gave a deeper meaning to his poem. Makapangutana ta kon ngano man gyud nga ikaduhaon man gyud niya. Unsa kaha iyang pasabot? eng eng eng. Ang makatubag, naay free roundtrip ticket to Nigeria!

so pasabot ani mura ko ug bata ug nawong... wow!!! tnx.. hahahaha..

bitaw pasabot lang jud nako mao akong gibalik-balik ang (sa bata..) kya gusto lang nako i-emphasize na special para nako ang smile sa mga bata... innocent man gud kaayo sila niya dili pa kaayo comlicated ila lyf.. that is why i dont like na mka experience ang mga bata ug pain while bata pa sila... let them smile... maski unsa ka lisod sa life smile lang gihapon.. mao na kita mga dagko sondugon nato ang mga bata, smile... :D..

Jo, gibalik kadto ni Robert Frost iyahang linya nga "And miles to go before I sleep." tungod kay he wants to evoke the feeling of deep, deep but contented kind of solitude. Saying it twice sort of removes him from the actual, physical woods. The "miles" in the repeated line no longer means the physical "mile", but the distance between himself (or his soul) from the rest of humanity. In a poem, every line and every word in any order matters. Mao na nga when people read Frost's poem and saw the repitition of the last line, nahibulong sila. Why is he trying to say by repeating the last line?

You may not know it, but by repeating "sa bata", your poem goes to another level. Deceptively simple repitition. It may mean that the second "bata" is the poet herself. Di ba naa may panultihon nga "it takes one to know one"? To be able to perceive what is essential in a child, you must be yourself a child also. Figure? Ang echoed "sa bata" may refer diay sa nagtan-aw through child's eyes.

So that's one use of repeating a line or a word. The most obvious of course is emphasis. But more than that, repition can often evoke a larger meaning.

So, sulayi daw na in another poem, and we'll see if it works.

Bow. Unya dili mahimo mosulat og balak kon wala pa kay kaon. Kinahanglan busog aron kusgan!
